MEET YOUR ALDERPERSONS WARD #1

"Hello,

I am your First Ward Alderman. I am a Husband, Father, Grandfather and a Navy Veteran. The thing I like best about Belvidere is the people. They are warm, friendly, and have an amazing history which they are proud of. I am honored to represent them as their Alderman. I will continue to serve the people of Belvidere in the hope of leaving it a better place when I am done."

"I want the citizens of Belvidere to be able to stay in Belvidere to shop and purchase everything they need. Not having to go to other communities to buy the things they need. I want the citizens of Belvidere to feel like Belvidere government is there to serve them, Fire, Police, Public Works and City Hall. I have been with the City of Belvidere since October of 1985. 25 years with the Fire Department. I was the City's first paramedic. I went to paramedic school on my own time with support of my brother firefighters covering my work shifts. I have lived in Belvidere for 52 years. Been married 44 years. Have two daughters that were born and raised in Belvidere."

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating Public Works Week and taking a moment to show our appreciation for the dedicated team that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We also had the honor of congratulating Jimmy Roman (29 years) (center left), Jeffrey Carlson (21 years) (center right), and Danny "Scott" Roush (19 years) (not pictured) on their well-earned retirements. Thank you for your many years of service and commitment-- you will be greatly missed!
