Ric Brereton
What impact do you hope to leave on the City?
- I hope to leave the City with the ability to continue to keep its taxes and costs of living affordable, while also continuing to provide quality services such as police, fire, and public works to its residents at the same time.
What's your favorite thing about Belvidere?
- My favorite thing about Belvidere is that I am able to call it my hometown.
What's something you'd like for people to know about you?
- I would like people to know that I am easily accessible, and that they are welcome to contact me with any issues or concerns within the City that they might have.
Tell us a little about yourself/your history.
- I'm currently serving my second term as alderman for the 5th Ward, in which I have lived in for most of my life. Prior to that, I served as City Treasurer for one term. I'm also a third-generation insurance producer, working in the same agency that my grandfather founded, right here in Belvidere.
