Branch Collection
The City of Belvidere provides seasonal branch collection for residents. The City is divided into designated collection areas, with Public Works crews collecting branches according to a published schedule.
Residents should place branches on the terrace prior to their scheduled collection week and follow all placement and size requirements. Crews make one pass through each collection area.
Collection schedules, maps, and specific guidelines are published prior to each seasonal collection.
Branch Collection Guidelines
- DO place all branches on the terrace (area between the sidewalk and street) by 7:00 AM Monday of your scheduled collection week.
- DO group the butt/cut ends together when placing multiple branches.
- DO lay branches parallel to the street.
- DO NOT place branches larger than 10 inches in diameter.
- DO NOT place branch piles larger than 4 feet high × 4 feet wide × 24 feet long.
- DO NOT place root balls or branches less than 24 inches long.
- DO NOT place branches containing or attached to wire, plastic, nails, or other foreign materials.
- DO NOT place branches out after crews have passed. Crews make one pass down each street, and material placed afterward will not be collected.
