Important Information
- City crews clear public roads only.
- Trees on houses, garages, or driveways = call a tree service or your insurance.
- Do not touch trees tangled in powerlines — ComEd must clear those.
- If you need help clearing debris and it’s not an emergency, reach out to a local contractor, your insurance company, or community volunteer groups that may be assisting.
Branch Pick Up
The City is aware of debris/branches and is actively working on the collection process. There is no route map available, but residents are asked to place all branches –regardless of size– on the terrace. Crews will make their way through the community and collect them.
The City is prioritizing tree and branch removal as follows:
- Trees and large debris obstructing roadways will be addressed first.
- City-owned trees located on the terrace will be handled next. If you would like to create a work order please call 815-544-9256.
- Following these priorities, the collection of curbside branches and debris placed by residents will begin.
We appreciate your patience as City crews work to safely and efficiently complete the clean-up process.
