Boards & Commissions

The City of Belvidere has several boards and commissions made up of volunteer members appointed by the mayor.  They assist and advise the City in various areas: planning and land use, historic preservation, police and fire personnel matters and hiring.  

In addition, the City of Belvidere appoints the board members of the Ida Public Library as well as some members to the Boone County Council on Aging and the Community Building Complex of Boone County.  These boards are separate legal entities which the City of Belvidere is affiliated with.
