General Mills Park
General Mills Park Located on the corner of Christi Lane and Highline Street.
In December 2015 Byron Bank donated the .65 acre parcel of property to the City of Belvidere, because they had no use for it and the Belvidere Park District had no interest in it. The City spent 2016 cleaning up the property, removing overgrown shrubs, and planting grass seed. In early 2018, the City applied for and received a $20,000 grant from General Mills to help build the playground at this location, which is how the park found its name.
General Mills Park features a playground, soccer field and an open shelter with picnic tables. The shelter is available to the general public and does not take reservations it is on a first come, first served basis.
