ABOUT BELVIDERE PD

The Belvidere Police Department is a multi-service oriented law enforcement agency located at 615 N. Main Street in the Belvidere-Boone County Public Safety Building. Forty-four sworn and five civilian personnel provide community police service to the 25,000+ residents of the City of Belvidere. These areas of service include Administration, Patrol, Investigations, IMPACT Unit (Improvised Methods for Policing Against Crime Trends), Neighborhood Watch, School Resource Officer program (SRO) and others.
The Belvidere Police Department has taken steps to continue to provide professional police service and protection to all the citizens of the community. In addition, the COAR Program and Community Service Coordinator position are strong indicators of the Police Department’s dedication to working with the community.
